Mary Hannon Williams is a PC software expert and a Microsoft Office certified specialist. While at IBM, she held senior management positions in software development, education, and software quality assurance. She received several prestigious IBM technical and management awards. After leaving IBM, Mary joined the National Urban Technology Center as the Director of Program Services. There she developed curriculum materials for use in underserved urban communities. Following that, Mary started her own business, SkillTrain, to provide customized training and development solutions. Mary has been a college lecturer in computer science at Vassar College and at Dutchess Community College, both in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is a long time board member of Grace Smith House, Inc., a nonprofit agency that provides shelter, housing, and support services for victims of domestic violence. She is currently the Treasurer of Oakwood Friends School and a trustee of New York Yearly Meeting – the New York State region of the Society of Friends (Quaker). She joined IBM as a trainer in the Washington DC Education Center after graduating cum laude with an undergraduate degree in mathematics and with one year of graduate training in psychology at Catholic University in Washington, DC. |
